Shawn Wilson was born and raised in Des Moines and was a graduate of Lincoln High School. Returning home after receiving a B.A. in Communications from the University of Iowa, Shawn has been performing in the Des Moines area for over 12 years. He joined RTI as an acting member after debuting as Edward in Sense and Sensibility and Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol and now serves as the Director Of Marketing. His more recent RTI credits include That Championship Season as Phil, The Importance of Being Earnest as Jack and A Christmas Memory as Buddy. Some of his other favorite local credits include Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde as Oscar Wilde, The Great American Trailer Park Musical as Norbert, The Underpants as Theo, In The Next Room or The Vibrator Play as Dr. Givings and The Seafarer as Ivan. Shawn was also a founding member of The Brink Comedy Troupe where he wrote, acted and directed. Shawn works as a local television commercial producer for OnMedia and spends the rest of his time with his two crazy kids.
